The Health-Benefits of Turmeric (pronounced "ter-mer-ik"--though the name is often badly mispronounced as "toomerick")
Turmeric helps reduce fat in the liver, and helps the liver metabolize fats that have been produced in it from glucose (sugar) and refined carbohydrates like white flour. To be more effective in the liver, turmeric should be ingested with a beneficial fat. I recommend swallowing a teaspoon of coconut oil just before or after taking turmeric. Turmeric is also known for reducing trigylcerides, inflammation, blood-sugar and the duration of viruses.
