It has been at least three years since I lamented on Ask Andy about Clothes' forum that there were no knee-length socks to be found for women, and Trimingham's of Bermuda, my traditional source, had closed its doors forever. Gentleman shirtmaker Alexander Kabbaz, a moderator at Ask Andy Forums, jumped in to apprise me of his Pantherella offerings. I now have several pairs of Pantherella over-the-knee, high-quality wool cable-knit socks from his Hamptons, NY company. I recommend them for Christmas, as I have for the past couple of seasons. You can see a great array of socks for women at Kabbaz and Kelly.
