I named Miep Gies "Elegant Survivor" in June, celebrating her 100th birthday. This heroine of WWII passed away last night. Please see the Elegant Survivors page; there is a link to her obituary.

The wonderful actress Natasha Richardson, wife of Liam Neeson and daughter of Vanessa Redgrave, is in critical condition after a head injury sustained yesterday while skiing in Quebec. Article in the Gazette
